My experience at the St. Regis was quite underwhelming. The room was spacious and elegant, offering a comfortable atmosphere, but I encountered multiple service issues that overshadowed the positives. While the location near Central Park is excellent, the ongoing construction greatly diminished the overall enjoyment of my stay, making it feel less like a luxury hotel. I was left wishing for more attentive service throughout my visit.

I recently stayed at the St Regis New York, and while the hotel boasts a prime location and spacious rooms that are beautifully appointed, my experience was somewhat mixed. The service was personalized thanks to the butler service, but there were inconsistencies that detracted from the overall luxury feel. Dining options, particularly room service, left something to be desired, especially given the hotel’s pricing. Overall, I enjoyed the history and ambiance, but wasn’t completely sold on every aspect of my stay.

Rooms
The rooms were exceptionally large and elegantly decorated, featuring luxurious amenities, but some areas felt outdated. Rating: 8/10
Service
While the butler service was attentive and helpful, I noticed some lapses in staffing that caught me off guard. Rating: 7/10
Location
The hotel's location on 5th Avenue is undoubtedly a highlight, with easy access to major attractions like Central Park and shopping nearby. Rating: 9/10
Dining
Dining at the Astor Court was satisfactory, but my room service experience fell short due to a missing item from my order, which was disappointing given the premium pricing. Rating: 5/10
Facilities
The hotel features a well-maintained fitness room and the historic King Cole Bar, both of which added to the unique experience. Rating: 8/10

I had an extraordinary experience at the St. Regis NYC. The location is ideal, and I enjoyed exceptional service from nearly all staff. However, I did encounter a few issues with the room cleanliness and some minor staff interactions that fell short of expectations. Overall, this hotel is fantastic for special occasions, but be prepared for the high prices.

Rooms
6.0
The room felt incredibly luxurious and transported me back in time, although there were some cleanliness issues such as mold stains and hair in the bathroom. Overall, it had a classic charm paired with modern amenities.
Service
8.0
The service was mostly exceptional, especially from my butler, Jim Sheehan, who was attentive and detail-oriented. However, I did encounter a couple of staff members who were not very responsive.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is fantastic and conveniently places you within walking distance of many of NYC's prime attractions.
Dining
7.0
While dining at the hotel was luxurious, I found the pricing to be on the high side, particularly for cocktails and breakfast. Still, the room service breakfast was a standout experience.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel facilities were impressive, including unique experiences like champagne sabering and a renowned bar. However, some minor updates could enhance the overall feel.

6.8/10

My stay at the hotel was mostly enjoyable, with incredible attention to detail in the decor and room comfort. However, a few significant issues with the service, particularly during breakfast, dampened what could have been a perfect getaway. While I loved the ambiance and the spaciousness of the rooms, the experience with billing and the dining service was disappointing.

Rooms
8.0
The room was beautifully restored and spacious, exceeding my expectations for New York standards, but it could use some fresh touches to reach its full potential.
Service
5.0
The service overall was a mixed bag. While some staff were amazing and attentive, the handling of the breakfast situation was poorly managed and rather rude.
Location
10.0
The hotel is perfectly situated just off Fifth Avenue, making it easy to explore Central Park and nearby attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast at the hotel left much to be desired; the staff's rudeness during a busy time really stood out and created an unpleasant experience.

5.4/10

My experience at the St. Regis was quite disappointing. While the historical charm and ambiance of the hotel are noteworthy, the overall service and room experience fell far below the expectations set for a luxury hotel. The food was decent, but the high prices combined with poor service left a sour taste. It's not a place I'd recommend if you're looking for exceptional service and attention.

Rooms
5.0
Our room ended up being on a much lower floor and overlooked an internal well, which was a letdown since we expected a better upgrade as Platinum Premier guests.
Service
5.0
The service was quite lackluster, with the front desk staff showing disinterest and the butler barely attending to us. This was unexpected for a hotel of this reputation.
Location
9.0
The location is excellent, right near Central Park and other notable attractions, but that alone does not justify the experience we had.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were average, and mine ended up costing more than anticipated due to various 'extras' that weren't clearly communicated at check-in.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were adequate but didn't really stand out during our stay, especially considering the overall service left much to be desired.
